The Milesight EM410-RDL-L0CEU EA is an advanced cellular radar distance and level sensor with an external antenna configuration, designed for non-contact monitoring in industrial, environmental and smart infrastructure applications.
Using 60 GHz millimeter-wave radar technology, the EM410-RDL measures the distance to liquid or suitable solid surfaces without physical contact. This makes it particularly useful for monitoring water tanks, wastewater networks, drainage systems, reservoirs and industrial storage installations.
The sensor offers a measurement range of 0.3–12 meters, with accuracy up to ±2 mm and 1 mm resolution under specified measurement conditions.
Its narrow 8° radar beam helps concentrate measurements on the target surface while minimizing unwanted reflections from surrounding structures.
The EA (External Antenna) version is designed for installations requiring an external cellular antenna arrangement, providing additional installation flexibility in locations where antenna positioning is important for network coverage.
With integrated cellular connectivity, the sensor can transmit measurements through a compatible mobile network without requiring a LoRaWAN gateway. A suitable SIM card, cellular data service and compatible monitoring platform are required.
The rugged IP68-rated enclosure protects the device against water ingress, making it suitable for challenging outdoor and industrial environments.
The EM410-RDL is designed for long-term battery-powered operation, reducing maintenance requirements at remote monitoring locations. Actual battery life depends on network coverage, reporting frequency, configuration and environmental conditions.
The device supports NFC and Bluetooth configuration, allowing convenient setup and maintenance. A built-in 3-axis accelerometer provides tilt detection, while configurable alarms help identify abnormal measurement or installation conditions.
Dedicated measurement modes support applications involving tanks, sewage systems, rainwater infrastructure and general distance monitoring.

Important: This is a cellular sensor, not a LoRaWAN model. The exact supported cellular technology and frequency bands must be verified for the supplied L0CEU variant. The sensor measures distance to the target surface; level values depend on the configured installation reference height.
