The Milesight EM410-RDL-EU868/US915 is an advanced LoRaWAN radar distance and level sensor, designed for accurate, non-contact monitoring of liquid levels and suitable solid surfaces in industrial, environmental and smart infrastructure applications.
Using 60 GHz millimeter-wave radar technology, the EM410-RDL measures the distance to a target surface without physical contact, making it particularly suitable for water tanks, wastewater networks, drainage systems, reservoirs and industrial storage facilities.
The sensor provides a measurement range of 0.3 to 12 meters, with accuracy up to ±2 mm and 1 mm resolution under specified measurement conditions.
Its narrow 8° radar beam helps focus measurements on the target surface while reducing interference from surrounding structures and unwanted reflections.
This EU868/US915 LoRaWAN version enables long-range, low-power wireless communication with a compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server. It supports OTAA and ABP activation, allowing integration into compatible LoRaWAN monitoring systems.
The rugged IP68-rated PVDF enclosure offers protection against water ingress and corrosion, making the device suitable for demanding outdoor and industrial environments. The published immersion condition is up to 1 meter for 48 hours.
Powered by a high-capacity 19,000mAh Li-SOCl₂ battery, the EM410-RDL is designed for long-term operation, with a stated battery life of up to 7 years in LoRaWAN mode, depending on transmission intervals, radio conditions and device configuration.
The sensor supports NFC and Bluetooth configuration, making installation and maintenance convenient. Its built-in 3-axis accelerometer enables tilt detection and installation-related alerts.
Dedicated measurement modes for standard applications, rainwater systems, sewage networks and tanks allow the sensor to be adapted to different monitoring environments.
The Milesight EM410-RDL LoRaWAN is a practical solution for water resource management, wastewater infrastructure, smart cities, industrial automation and remote environmental monitoring.
Important: This is the LoRaWAN EU868/US915 version, not the cellular model. A compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server are required for remote data transmission. The sensor measures distance to the target surface; level calculations depend on the configured installation reference height.
