The Milesight UG63 Mini LoRaWAN Gateway (EU868) is a compact, cost-effective 8-channel indoor LoRaWAN gateway designed for small and medium-sized IoT deployments, smart buildings, offices and commercial environments.
The UG63 provides wireless communication between compatible LoRaWAN sensors and a LoRaWAN Network Server, enabling centralized collection, monitoring and management of IoT device data.
With support for 8 LoRaWAN channels and up to 2,000 end devices according to the published product specifications, the gateway provides a scalable solution for applications such as environmental monitoring, smart offices, energy management and building automation. Actual supported capacity depends on device traffic, network configuration and radio conditions.
The gateway connects to the network through its Ethernet interface, providing reliable backhaul communication with the selected network server.
It also supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) in Access Point mode, intended for convenient local configuration. Wi-Fi should not be confused with a general-purpose Wi-Fi backhaul connection.
Its compact and lightweight design makes the UG63 suitable for indoor installations where space is limited, including offices, retail environments, educational buildings and small industrial facilities.
The device supports LoRaWAN 1.0.3 and can communicate with compatible LoRaWAN network infrastructure. Support for secure connections and network server integration makes it suitable for professional IoT installations.
Powered through a 5V DC USB Type-C connection, the UG63 offers straightforward installation without requiring a specialized industrial power supply.
With an operating temperature range of −20°C to +50°C, the gateway is intended for controlled indoor environments.
The Milesight UG63 Mini is an economical entry point for organizations deploying their first LoRaWAN network, as well as a practical gateway for smaller distributed IoT installations.
Important: This is the EU868 Ethernet version. Wi-Fi operates in Access Point mode for local configuration. The gateway does not provide 4G cellular connectivity. Sensors, Ethernet network access and any required external IoT platform or service are separate from the gateway hardware.
