The Milesight WTS506 is a professional solar-powered LoRaWAN IoT weather station designed for continuous and accurate monitoring of outdoor atmospheric conditions.
Combining advanced meteorological sensors, a LoRaWAN communication hub and solar power, the WTS506 provides a comprehensive solution for smart agriculture, meteorological monitoring, environmental research, smart cities and industrial outdoor installations.

The WTS506 uses ultrasonic technology for wind speed and wind direction measurement, eliminating the need for traditional rotating wind cups and mechanical wind vanes.
Rainfall is measured using piezoelectric sensing technology, while dedicated sensors provide temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure measurements.
The system features solar-powered operation with rechargeable battery backup, enabling continuous monitoring during periods of reduced sunlight. Under the manufacturer's stated conditions, the backup batteries can support approximately seven days of operation without solar charging.
With LoRaWAN wireless connectivity, the WTS506 transmits weather data to compatible gateways and network servers. The EU868 version is designed for compatible European LoRaWAN networks.
The station supports NFC configuration through the Milesight ToolBox application, simplifying commissioning and parameter adjustment without complex wired configuration.
For reliable data collection, the WTS506 offers local storage of up to 19,000 historical records, together with data retransmission capabilities to help recover information following temporary communication interruptions.
Designed for demanding outdoor conditions, the weather sensor unit features an IP65-rated aluminum alloy housing, while the WTS Hub provides IP67 protection.
Its pole-mounted design is suitable for installation in agricultural fields, research facilities, industrial sites, transportation infrastructure and environmental monitoring networks.
The WTS506 can integrate with compatible LoRaWAN platforms, including Milesight IoT Cloud, enabling visualization, historical data analysis and weather-based alerts.
With its combination of six meteorological measurements, solar autonomy, rugged construction and LoRaWAN communication, the Milesight WTS506 provides a professional solution for remote weather monitoring.
Important: The WTS506 measures six atmospheric parameters. It does not directly measure solar irradiance, UV radiation, soil moisture, soil electrical conductivity or air quality. A compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server are required for remote monitoring.
