High-Performance Active GPS Antenna for Industrial IoT & Outdoor Installations
The RAKwireless RAKAGPS1 is a professional high-gain active GPS antenna designed to provide reliable GNSS signal reception for industrial IoT gateways, LoRaWAN gateways, edge computing systems and outdoor positioning applications.
Operating within the 1559–1577 MHz GPS L1 frequency band, the antenna features an integrated low-noise amplifier (LNA) with a typical gain of 28 ±2 dB, ensuring excellent signal reception even in challenging environments with weak satellite visibility.
The antenna utilizes RHCP (Right-Hand Circular Polarization), the standard polarization used by GPS satellites, improving positioning accuracy while minimizing multipath interference. An integrated SAW filter and low-noise amplifier help reject out-of-band interference and increase receiver sensitivity.
Designed for permanent outdoor installations, the RAKAGPS1 includes a rugged pole mounting kit, 2-meter RG195 low-loss coaxial cable, and an N-Type male connector for direct connection to industrial GPS receivers and gateways. The antenna housing is engineered for long-term operation in harsh environmental conditions including power stations, marine applications and outdoor communication systems.
Its low power consumption (≤10 mA @ 3 VDC), excellent noise figure and wide operating temperature range make it an ideal GPS solution for precision timing, gateway synchronization and asset positioning applications.
