The Watteco BoB Assistant LoRaWAN is an intelligent vibration monitoring sensor designed for predictive maintenance and remote condition monitoring of industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, ventilation systems and cooling units. The device continuously analyzes the vibration signature of a machine and detects abnormal behavior before failures occur, helping maintenance teams reduce downtime and optimize maintenance operations.
The sensor uses embedded artificial intelligence algorithms to learn the normal operating behavior of the monitored machine during an automatic learning period of approximately 7 days. After this learning phase, the device can detect vibration drift, abnormal operation or machine start/stop events and send alerts via the LoRaWAN network.
The device transmits periodic reports containing machine operating time, vibration drift rate, temperature, battery level and predictive failure probability, enabling predictive maintenance strategies and Industry 4.0 applications.
Installation is quick and easy thanks to the integrated magnets, push button activation and RGB LED for configuration and network pairing. The sensor operates for several years using a replaceable lithium battery and communicates over long distances using LoRaWAN technology with very low power consumption.
The Watteco BoB Assistant is an ideal solution for industrial monitoring, predictive maintenance and smart industry IoT applications.
Applications
The BoB Assistant LoRaWAN sensor is suitable for monitoring industrial equipment such as:
- Pumps
- Motors
- Compressors
- Ventilation systems
- Cooling units
- Industrial machinery
- Facility management equipment
It is widely used in manufacturing, energy, automotive, oil & gas and building management industries.
How the Predictive Maintenance Works
After installation, the BoB Assistant learns the vibration behavior of the machine and creates a baseline vibration profile. The device continuously compares current vibration data with the learned profile and detects deviations that may indicate wear, imbalance, mechanical problems or failure risk. Alerts are generated when vibration drift exceeds configured thresholds or when machine status changes (start/stop).
This allows maintenance teams to intervene before equipment failure occurs, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
