The Watteco TORAN’O is a LoRaWAN® industrial sensor designed for remote monitoring of equipment located in hazardous or explosive environments (ATEX Zone 1). The device enables pulse counting, analog measurements, and status monitoring of industrial equipment such as gas, water, electricity or thermal energy meters, pressure switches and pressure transmitters.

The TORAN’O sensor converts existing equipment into smart connected devices by transmitting data over public or private LoRaWAN® networks, enabling remote monitoring, data logging and predictive maintenance.

Designed for Hazardous Environments (ATEX Zone 1)

TORAN’O is specifically designed for installation in explosive environments such as gas installations, LPG tanks, industrial plants and energy infrastructure. The device is ATEX certified and allows safe data transmission from sensors installed in hazardous areas.

This makes it ideal for gas distribution networks, LPG tanks, industrial monitoring, pressure monitoring and energy metering.

Multi-Interface Industrial LoRaWAN Sensor

The TORAN’O sensor includes multiple inputs allowing connection to a wide range of industrial sensors and meters:

  • Pulse inputs for meters (water, gas, electricity, heat meters)
  • Analog inputs 0-5V
  • Analog input 4-20mA
  • Digital status inputs
  • Power supply outputs for external probes

This makes TORAN’O a universal LoRaWAN interface for industrial sensors and meters.

Long Battery Life and Low Power LoRaWAN Communication

The device operates on a replaceable lithium battery and can operate for up to 8–10 years depending on configuration and transmission interval. LoRaWAN communication allows long-range connectivity with very low power consumption, making it ideal for remote monitoring applications.
