
Industrial NB-IoT Soil Sensor for Smart Agriculture
The Dragino SE01-NB is a professional NB-IoT soil sensor designed for IoT agriculture and environmental monitoring applications. It accurately measures soil moisture, soil temperature, and soil electrical conductivity (EC) and uploads the data to cloud servers via NB-IoT cellular networks. It is ideal for smart agriculture, irrigation control, greenhouse monitoring and precision farming applications.
The sensor uses the FDR (Frequency Domain Reflectometry) method to calculate soil moisture with compensation from soil temperature and soil conductivity, ensuring reliable and stable measurements. It is factory calibrated for mineral soil, saline-alkali soil, and loamy soil.
In addition to soil moisture measurement, the SE01-NB continuously monitors soil temperature and soil conductivity, providing essential data for irrigation optimization, crop management and soil condition analysis. This helps farmers improve water efficiency and crop productivity.
The SE01-NB supports multiple uplink methods including MQTT, MQTTs, TCP, UDP and CoAP, allowing integration with various IoT platforms and cloud applications. It also supports BLE configuration and OTA firmware upgrades, making deployment and maintenance simple and efficient.
Powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCl₂ battery, the SE01-NB is optimized for ultra-low-power operation and can function autonomously for several years depending on reporting intervals and network conditions. This makes it ideal for long-term field deployment.
