AI-Powered Occupancy Detection for Smart Offices & Intelligent Buildings
The Milesight VS321-868M is a low-power LoRaWAN® Wireless AI Occupancy Sensor designed for accurate occupancy detection, desk usage monitoring and space utilization analysis in smart offices, meeting rooms, campuses and commercial buildings.
Using a combination of PIR motion sensing, RGB sensing and embedded AI algorithms, the VS321 can achieve up to 95% occupancy detection accuracy, while maintaining privacy by not storing or transmitting images. This makes it suitable for GDPR-sensitive environments where occupancy data is required without compromising personal privacy.
The VS321 supports dual working modes, including People Counting Mode and Desk Occupancy Mode, allowing it to adapt to different workplace scenarios. It can be used to monitor desks, meeting spaces, shared work areas and room usage patterns.
In addition to occupancy detection, the device includes built-in temperature, humidity and ambient light sensors, providing useful environmental data for smart building automation, comfort optimization and energy management.
Powered by 4 × ER14505 batteries, the VS321 offers ultra-low power operation with a battery life of up to 10+ years, depending on reporting interval and configuration. It supports LoRaWAN® Class A, Milesight D2D communication and configuration via Bluetooth / NFC / Milesight ToolBox, making deployment fast and flexible.
