Dragino DR-DO1 Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor – RS485 Modbus RTU, IP68

The Dragino DR-DO1 is a high-precision optical dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor with RS485 Modbus RTU communication, designed for continuous water quality monitoring in aquaculture, wastewater treatment, environmental monitoring and industrial water management applications.

Using optical dissolved oxygen measurement technology, the sensor measures the concentration of oxygen dissolved in water without relying on conventional electrochemical measurement principles.

With a measurement range of 0–20 mg/L, 0.01 mg/L resolution and ±3% stated measurement accuracy, the DR-DO1 provides detailed dissolved oxygen readings for applications where oxygen concentration is an important indicator of water quality.

The sensor features an RS485 interface with Modbus RTU protocol, enabling direct integration with compatible industrial controllers, PLCs, data loggers and water quality monitoring systems.

For wireless IoT applications, the DR-DO1 can be connected to a compatible Dragino WQS-LB LoRaWAN Water Quality Sensor Converter, allowing measurements to be transmitted through a LoRaWAN network.

Its IP68-rated waterproof construction is suitable for submerged measurement applications, while the 5-metre cable provides flexibility during installation in tanks, ponds, water treatment facilities and other monitoring locations.

Operating from a 5–24 V DC power supply, the sensor is suitable for integration into professional monitoring systems.

The Dragino DR-DO1 is an effective solution for dissolved oxygen monitoring, water quality assessment and integration into automated water management systems.

Important: The DR-DO1 is a wired RS485 sensor. It does not include an integrated LoRaWAN radio, gateway or standalone wireless communication capability.
