Industrial UV Radiation Sensor for Environmental & Agricultural Monitoring

The Seeed Studio Industrial UV Radiation Sensor is a professional industrial-grade ultraviolet radiation sensor designed for continuous outdoor UV monitoring in environmental, agricultural and meteorological applications.

The sensor accurately measures ultraviolet radiation between 240 and 395 nm, providing real-time UV intensity data for weather stations, smart agriculture, greenhouse automation, solar studies and environmental monitoring systems. It utilizes a high-quality UV photodetector combined with an optical filter to ensure excellent measurement stability and long-term accuracy.

Designed for industrial deployments, the sensor communicates using the standard RS485 MODBUS-RTU protocol, allowing seamless integration with PLCs, RTUs, industrial controllers, IoT gateways and data loggers. It is fully compatible with Seeed SenseCAP Data Loggers as well as third-party Modbus systems.

Its rugged IP68-rated enclosure provides excellent resistance against dust, rain and harsh outdoor environments, ensuring reliable long-term operation with minimal maintenance. The sensor supports a wide 5–24 VDC supply voltage, making installation flexible across industrial and remote monitoring systems.

With high measurement accuracy, fast response time and industrial reliability, the sensor is ideal for monitoring UV exposure, protecting crops, evaluating environmental conditions and supporting scientific research.
